MADE IN L.A PART 3

1. If it were up to you to make the decision, would you let the sweatshop workers become legal U.S. citizens? Why or why not?
Ans: no because it wasn't nice what they did. They put up with all the work they have to do for hours and only get a few cents for doing all that. They have no other choice to do any other jobs because the other jobs wont take them so they have to be stuck with doing all that work that they don't even get payed enough to do.

2. Describe a moment in from parts 1, 2, or 3 of this movie that you found particularly memorable? Why?
Ans:A moment that is memorable is they all don't have good homes. They don't get payed good money too.

3. By the end of part 3, the protestors seem to be giving up hope. If you were able to speak to the group, what would you say to them to inspire them to keep going?
Ans:I would tell the group to not give up on hope. To never give up on life either.

ans: Workers continue to protest because they want to at least try to get more money for working very very hard on making clothes for forever 21.

SUPER SIZE ME PART 2

1. Do you think consumers (people who buy things) have the right to sue McDonalds for selling unhealthy food? Why or why not?

Ans: Yes. I think they have the right to sue McDonalds because it is unhealthy and it is bad for you cause it makes you overweight

2. McDonalds is the largest owner of private playgrounds in the world. What other ways does McDonalds use to market their food to children?

Ans: They have the cartoons and the toys in the happy meals.

3. How many calories do you think a healthy kid should eat in a day (click here for a clue)? According to the movie, how many calories are in a Super Size fries? How about a Double Gulp soda?

Ans:Kids come in all sizes and each person's body burns energy (calories) at different rates, so there isn't one perfect number of calories that a kid should eat. But there is a recommended range for most school-age kids: 1,600 to 2,500 per day. When they reach puberty, girls need more calories, but they tend to need fewer calories than boys. As boys enter puberty, they will need as many as 2,500 to 3,000 calories per day. The super size fries are about 600 calories. The double gulp soda is about six to eight hundred calories.

SUPER SIZE ME

1:
How many times a week do you eat at McDonalds or other fast food restaurants? Do you ever think about whether what you are eating is healthy? Why or why not?

Ans: I eat McDonald's only once in 4 weeks. Yes i do think about whether what i'm eating is healthy or not. I think of that because i don't want to get over weight.

2:What do you predict will happen to Morgan’s health at the end of the month? Do you think he will remain in perfect health?

Ans: No because he is going to eat a lot of McDonald's and become a fat person. And he is gonna become unhealthy.

3. In one scene there is a shot of a McDonald's inside of a hospital. What do you think about that? Do you find it normal, funny, strange, or sad?

Ans: I think it is not normal and not funny. It is strange and sad. It is strange because it is hospital and in hospital's there job is to try to make you healthy and McDonald's is not healthy. It is sad because McDonald's are not healthy for people and it should NOT be in a hospital.
